Costa Brava

To think that in the middle of October, I walked on the Spanish beaches of Costa Brava. The weather wasn't that great, but it wasn't terrible. I was there over a weekend. Saturday, it was rainy and chilly, though the rain stopped so that we could go and see the different beaches and inlets that line Costa Brava. On Sunday morning, it warmed up and the sun came out long enough for us to be able to take a nice hike (up and down the cliffs where my calves are still burning) and on the way back, we walked in the waves of the water. After a nice 20 minute walk, I got a great pedicure and enjoyed the rolling waves of blue, blue, blue and I mean beautiful blue water coming in and out on a peaceful, quiet morning.

The houses in the area where phenomenal, evidently mostly 2nd homes for people who live in Barcelona. Around every bend, there is a beach more beautiful, water more clear, and a terrace of a manion even more impressive.

While everything looks so desolate and not very sunny, you can only imagine what these beaches look like in the high part of the season. I am sure it is quite packed. In fact, Henri said that on the beach with the cliff, it is a nude beach and people are so close their actually sticking together.

  1. I'm so depressed looking at these photos. Although things are gorgeous here in MN with the leaves at their Fall peak.
